Birth Video
There are many visual and commercial resources available that depict ‘managed’ birth. I offer here, a look at normal birth with low-to-no interventions. I hope that they inspire each and every one of us!
Also included are videos related to newborns, midwifery, general health and social issues.
Sharing the intimacy of birth is a wonderful gift to all of us. My endless respect and unending gratitude goes out to all the women who share the intimate moments of their birth.
Far too often, birth is depicted as a traumatic and helpless situation. I feel that it is important for everyone to have access to positive images that reinforce the gentle and powerful aspects of birth… so here ya’ go!

Unexpected Unassisted Birth Welcome Lyle! The midwife was not called in time, so this mom had and unexpected unassisted water birth. The mom explains in her log that her toddler was crying because it was the wee hours of the morn and he work up unexpectedly alone. Dad talks to the midwife on the phone. It took less than 25 seconds for baby to give his first cry, this is perfectly normal and the baby was fine. I love how dad is so calm and notes that the “cord is still attached” and I super love moms comments at the end.
